ABCDE Health Center, Castle Rock, CO

Spearheaded the establishment of a functional space program for phase II of the ABCDE Health Center Campus. Phase II consists of Emergency Department, Diagnostic Imaging/Women Center, Surgery Department, and Inpatient Units (Medical/Surgical, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Obstetric (OB), and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)) for total square footage of 190,000 and a budget of $120M.

FGH Center, Berwick, PA

Initiated and executed a Facility Master Plan for a 101 acute bed hospital and 240-bed retirement facilities. Designed a conceptual plan for renovation and/or expansion of the following:

  • Expansion of Behavior Health Unit
  • Re-distribution of private to semi-private ratio in the Medical/Surgical Unit and creating a Step-Down Unit to better service the patient demands
  • Consolidation of the Obstetric Unit into a 4 Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) units and establishing a Women Center with separate entrance
  • Relocation and expansion of the Outpatient Oncology Clinic with a new outpatient entrance
  • Expansion of the Cardiac Treatment Clinic as well as the Emergency Department from a treatment area to an 11 treatment area with support space, new waiting room, and entrance
  • Renovation and upgrading of the existing Diagnostic Imaging Department
  • Relocation and expansion of the laboratory

Handled the development and execution of a Facility Master Plan for a critical access replacement hospital. Evaluated and projected community and hospital needs to create a space program, conceptual design, and implementation schedule for a new 20 acute bed critical access replacement hospital. The hospital consists of 29,000 sq. ft. of clinical space and 13,000 sq. ft. of business space with a separate 880 sq. ft. for maintenance building. The estimated project budget is $14.2M.

IJK Hospital, Shelbyville, TN

Solely managed the construction of a Facility Master Plan for a replacement hospital. Assessed and addressed community and hospital requirements to create a space program, conceptual design, and implementation schedule for a new 60 acute bed replacement hospital. The project consisted of 48 beds Medical/Surgical Unit, 4 LDRP Obstetric Unit, 8 beds Critical Care Unit, and associated diagnostic and ambulatory care function. The conceptual design result in a 2-story, 102,600 sq. ft. building with approximately 280 parking spaces. The estimated project budget is $35M.

LMN Medical Center, Kansas City, KS

Formulated Facility Master Plan for a 383 acute bed hospital and its surrounding Medical Office and Outpatient Clinic buildings. Interpreted community and hospital needs to develop a space program, conceptual design, and implementation schedule that will address their needs. The following are currently being analyzed to determine how to best meet the community needs:

  • Obstetric Department and Women Center
  • Cardiology Department (Invasive and Non-Invasive)
  • Cardiac Rehabilitation Oncology Department
  • Observation Unit
  • Diagnostic Imaging Expansion or Growth of Same-Day Surgery
